Ethical dilemmas are by definition challenging. I am not condoning cruelty to animals but aren’t there more critical issues in the state of NSW than greyhound racing? Why not horse racing as well? In a recent ABC news article it is estimated that compensation to the industry and those connected to it would cost approximately four billion dollars but could cost up to ten billion. If the state really has ten billion spare for ethical causes how about putting that money into education and health which are sadly lacking in funding. Maybe we could turn the greyhound industry around with a little bit of innovation (see video below).
