How’s the Sunday going? Maybe your are at the beach today? I’m not sure what the weather is like where you are but this week has seen some great spring weather. It is that time of the year when the media starts to ramp up the shark attack potential in the intent to scare the hell out of us. Media has a job, to inform, but to do that it needs to capture our interest first, so that we will listen, and often to do that they will distort and sensationalize to grab that attention. There is a message here for trainers. Don’t do what media does. Capture interest by engaging thought and opinion. Motivate and stimulate discussion and debate. Inform and educate. Reflect and share information. I wish we had an Aussie version of the video below which provides the truth about shark attacks. This is educational. Try not to listen to much to the media this summer.
