There has been a lot of talk this year about education but as we close the year we again realise that most of it was just that, talk. Nothing has really changed this year. Promises, dreams of technology…..nothing. In certain classrooms and training venues though innovation, engagement, enthusiasm and effective, fun learning has occurred despite politicians, bureaucrats, morons and the educational elite. I think I highlighted this video early in the year. It is really worth watching again. The message is very clear and it is consistent with what we are constantly promised but never receive. Maybe 2014 is the year that Australian education starts to listen. I hope so.
