Reading: What Matters Now

I just finished reading ‘What Matters Now‘ by Gary Hamel which is essentially a book about what a modern organisation may look like or need to be like to be effective. To do that he covers a really broad range of topics and he is a very entertaining and at times amusing writer.  Apart from that it is an easy read, definitely not full of intellectual jargon. If you are a trainer of management or human resources or just interested in the future I recommend it. There is a website that sort of accompanies the book but also Gary’s thoughts called Hack Management. It has a lot of great information and resources, check it out. One section I really liked was stories from the fringe which covers organisations who are really trying innovative management processes.
