Quality training is not complicated

Please read the linked news report here regarding quality training at Jiffy Lube. Jiffy lube is a pretty big organisation with over 20,000 employees across America who have developed and implemented an impressive training and development system that would be the envy of most medium to large organisations. The have all of the right components and they are strategically tied into the business processes. The most outstanding aspect of the system is its simplicity, common sense and fundamental approach. This is not rocket science but it works. Yes, it would have taken a great deal of time and people power to get this system up and running and it does require the continued effort of many more people to keep it ticking over with quality and effectiveness but any organisation, right now, could develop the same approach. Why don’t they? I’ll let you discuss that one. It’s a slippery topic (pun intended).
