Another interesting post on online learning. It appears from this research “On average, students in online learning conditions performed better than those receiving face-to-face instruction.” Not by much though. Intriguing is the final comment by the researcher who says that despite these findings learning must occur in a community. I suppose that is an online community. Why does learning have to occur in a community? I’m not sure I would make that claim.
