Next Saturday session

Hopefully I have resolved the shared document issues for the active students. You will find that they can both be accessed via the resources tab in the Ning Network site. For the non active student members of the network for privacy reasons you can not access this information. Google is having a little bit of trouble with this at the moment so I have used an alternative pathway. Please check the blog schedule so that you know when you are on.

I will be running another session next Saturday (16/5/9) starting at 9.30am in A220. As a participant pointed out last week we are now a quarter into the program. Do you feel like you have done a quarter of the work? The session will be partially by request ie is there anything you want me to cover. Please email through your requests as well as who may be coming. I will be covering how to unpack a unit using our evidence guides and how to gather the appropriate evidence. I suggest if you are having trouble getting started then this is the session to get to.

Every day something new turns up which is both interesting as well as frustrating. As Stuart has commented the information is overwhelming. I have a few things below which may interest you that have come my way recently

http://www.academicearth.org/ Thousands of free online lectures

http://www.wdl.org/en/ The world digital library, new and growing as I write

http://www.openculture.com/2009/04/book_deal_20.html Very interesting use of blogs & podcasting from an author – where does it end?

** Important**

I have just completed the Research and design elearning resources unit online (it will grow over time). You can access this from the Network under the elearning group if you are a member of the group as well as an active student. Or today only you can access by clicking here. Have a look around. Plenty to download and read.

For those observant people you may have noticed in the right hand bottom corner of your screen that when you are on the Diploma Network site a little green icon is shown stating Chat. If you expand this box you will notice that a chat area has been opened. If you are logged in and any anyone else is they will show up in the chat area. Try it out.
