It doesn’t matter if you can’t sell your ideas.

Consistently throughout my career I have run into the problem of not selling my ideas effectively. I am better at it now but for a variety of reasons I still miss the mark at times. Some of my ideas have also been crap. A consistent problem that I see is good trainers who really can’t sell their ideas at all and unfortunately for them that just brings dissatisfaction, de-motivation and in the long term poor results for their organisation. The classic example of this is the many great TAFE and school teachers who have great ideas but poor vision less managers.

Don’t  give up. Get better at selling your ideas. Trainers are sales people anyway – you sell learning all the time. I recorded a video a long time ago on this, please watch below and then read the article on how to sell your ideas. Hope it helps.
