How to Kill Off Education in Australia

Every State in Australia is currently involved in a slashing training and education. Why? Is it to make it more efficient? Is it to make it more effective?  Is it to make it more flexible and responsive to the needs of  society, the people and the country? Is it changing based on research, debate, public forums or international best practice.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s because they have limited money in the budget and they haven’t got the guts or backbone to make the changes that need to be made to the other areas of the budget.

Don’t cut teachers and programs. Reduce the massive amounts of administrative staff, management and ridiculous schemes that add no value to the system.

Read this report from the Australian that basically states that Universities in Australia will not survive under their current business models. The biggest issue is that 14 out of 15 Universities had more support staff than lecturers. In the TAFE/training system this would be an even bigger issue.

Come on. This is a no brainer. Don’t get me started on the Public Service either. We tolerate reduced services, reduced education, health and transport to that we can support a cancerous administration system that makes its own decisions about it’s future.

One of the richest, luckiest, stupidest countries in the world. It’s a bright future.
