From my perspective not a great deal has changed on the education front this year. We of course have some weird things happening in NSW as education and training continues to take a beating while proclaiming that it is improving. On the Federal front we are finally seeing the end result of some ridiculous funding arrangements which some of our larger RTO’s have been rorting. There are many more who could come under scrutiny but I don’t think that will happen. Let’s face it the system is so complicated and bureaucratic that it is surprising that anyone can understand it. It should be simple. Remaining current as a trainer continues to become even more complicated. It should be simple.
I’ll leave it to someone else who is much better placed to explain what happened during the year in education. This is an extensive overview but really worth the read.
