A number of you may be mentors. Often as trainers we are asked to be mentors or setup mentor programs. Right now some of you may be studying mentoring as part of the new Certificate IV TAE program. Today mentors provide expertise to less experienced individuals to help them advance their careers, enhance their education, and build their networks. (Wikipedia quote). The world of mentoring like many other things is changing. Read this article where they discuss the changing role of reverse mentoring. What do you think? Another big change. I just read these figures which indicate that at the end of last year more people get their news from the internet than the newspaper and more ad dollars went to online outlets than newspapers as well. Wow. How quick did that appear to happen? What’s next. More people doing online courses than face to face? You never know.
