Many of us are training participants who are coming out of their teens and it is important that we understand how their world operates. I am reminded of this constantly when I have a mixed aged group in the room and just how differently they behave with technology. The other day I was showing a graduate group Gantt chart software and they had basically worked it out for themselves while I was fixing up a glitch on the office laptop. You don’t have to change what you do as a trainer but you do need to be aware of other’s perspectives.
