Sunday Zephyr – All about the Wind

I recently spent a week in NZ training trainers. I always go for a few runs when I am away training and NZ (Auckland) is always a favourite running spot with endless water, bays and large running/cycling tracks. This time it was windy plus. Still good running but to the point where at times I was blown sideways. A zephyr is a light breeze and hence the Sunday Zephyr post is about a light breeze, a light breeze blowing through your busy working week, calming, clearing your head and readying you for the week to begin.

When running into a ferocious head wind you tend to tense up, push hard and get frustrated. At some point last week I stopped doing that. I relaxed, slowed my pace, bent into the wind, relaxed into the grip of the winds fingers and enjoyed the experience as something different. The point? Often we fight, stress and punish ourselves because we think that is the response that we must provide in certain situations. Maybe that isn’t the best way to react. In every situation there is always something to learn, something to be gained, something that is positive and rewarding.

The video below is about the wind. I think it is a very positive video. What do you think?
