I could write a very big, complicated post here on the principles of better elearning and in most cases I would bore and confuse people. That’s what is so great about the web. More effective, better developed resources are quite often already out there which save you time and allow your learners to receive the best information as quickly as it is served up. The trick then is how do you find and access this information? Time & effort. You can’t actually get around these two training demons (fortunately the other demon Cost does not apply here). You have to  read a lot. You have to subscribe to relevant RSS feeds from blogs and websites. You have to watch twitter feeds from people who are interested in the same things as you because they are providing links to generally great content and you need to search, good old Google. Yes, it takes time but that is what your job involves, it is part of being professional, and yes it takes effort but if your really want to do a good job and you like the feeling doing a good job brings then it really isn’t an effort. Here is a great resource which really simply, but powerfully, explains what effective elearning is all about. I didn’t write it or put the slideshow together but I enjoyed it and want to pass it on to you. Enjoy and please comment.
