Having been on the end of a few ASQA audits now I am still amazed that all they do is look at paperwork and on the odd occasion they interview a trainer, but don’t, actually see them in the training room doing their stuff. I think we all know that paperwork can easily be fixed up to look great but you can’t fix up a lousy trainer. Sorry, you can fix a lousy trainer but you can’t do anything about them unless you know they aren’t performing well. A competency/currency check each year is just more paperwork which is basically not even valid.
